Millions of daily users
European football appLed the Stories system end to end: shipped behind feature flags, iterated on A/B results, in front of millions of fans every day.
The demo is the easy part. It has one user and a forgiving audience. Production has millions of users, release trains, review queues and a team that must live with the code. That gap is where I work.
Twelve years of mobile software, across football, fintech, health, government and aviation, is twelve years of watching where that gap opens. It rarely fails at the idea. It fails at the unglamorous part: the flags, the tests, the build times, the handover.
So I sell the unglamorous part, on terms you can hold me to.

Swiss construction dataroomArrived to almost no test culture. Five months later: a 26× larger suite, an eight-fold faster build, and conventions the team still runs today.
Engineering toolingCustom commands encoding the team's own conventions: spec writing, test generation, self-review, pipeline diagnosis. Leverage that outlives the engagement.
Major European airlineCurrently building a native holidays experience and leading the app's deeplink architecture.
Airport identity flowsEarlier, a biometric border-control SDK running inside airport identity flows.
Anonymous by design. The numbers carry the claim, and I can speak to any of them on a call.
Agreed before we start. No day rates, no meter running, no drift.
Agreed in writing before work begins. Both sides watch it.
Readable in five seconds. You see what I see, whenever you like.
Yours to run at the end, with or without me.

Twelve years building software, most of it mobile. Football, fintech, health, government, aviation. I lecture Mobile Development at the Universidade dos Açores, and founded Sublime Cipher in 2021.
I don't do hype. I do a number we agree on, a dashboard you can read in five seconds, and software you keep. If that sounds unexciting, good. Production is supposed to be unexciting.
Describe the problem in a few sentences. WhatsApp is fastest, I read every message myself, and I reply within one business day, usually much sooner.
