Most projects die between the demo and production.

01The problem demo → production

The demo is the easy part. It has one user and a forgiving audience. Production has millions of users, release trains, review queues and a team that must live with the code. That gap is where I work.

Twelve years of mobile software, across football, fintech, health, government and aviation, is twelve years of watching where that gap opens. It rarely fails at the idea. It fails at the unglamorous part: the flags, the tests, the build times, the handover.

So I sell the unglamorous part, on terms you can hold me to.

02Proof Evidence, not adjectives
P—01

Millions of daily users

European football appLed the Stories system end to end: shipped behind feature flags, iterated on A/B results, in front of millions of fans every day.

P—02

Zero to 1,258 tests · build 4min → under 30s

Swiss construction dataroomArrived to almost no test culture. Five months later: a 26× larger suite, an eight-fold faster build, and conventions the team still runs today.

P—03

11 AI commands in daily team use

Engineering toolingCustom commands encoding the team's own conventions: spec writing, test generation, self-review, pipeline diagnosis. Leverage that outlives the engagement.

P—04

Holidays, natively, and every deeplink

Major European airlineCurrently building a native holidays experience and leading the app's deeplink architecture.

Biometrics at the border

Airport identity flowsEarlier, a biometric border-control SDK running inside airport identity flows.

Anonymous by design. The numbers carry the claim, and I can speak to any of them on a call.

03How I work Four terms, in writing
T—01

Fixed price.

Agreed before we start. No day rates, no meter running, no drift.

T—02

One success number.

Agreed in writing before work begins. Both sides watch it.

T—03

A five-second dashboard.

Readable in five seconds. You see what I see, whenever you like.

T—04

Handover.

Yours to run at the end, with or without me.

04Selected work Names already public

Selected clients: OneFootball, easyJet, Housebar, Wio Business, Nue Life.

Everything else stays anonymous, deliberately.

05About Tiago Rocha

Twelve years building software, most of it mobile. Football, fintech, health, government, aviation. I lecture Mobile Development at the Universidade dos Açores, and founded Sublime Cipher in 2021.

I don't do hype. I do a number we agree on, a dashboard you can read in five seconds, and software you keep. If that sounds unexciting, good. Production is supposed to be unexciting.

If your project is between the demo and production, let's talk.

Describe the problem in a few sentences. WhatsApp is fastest, I read every message myself, and I reply within one business day, usually much sooner.
